On a SW flight about 5 years ago.  In front of me is a boy about 10 years old.  He turns to me and says.  Excuse me sir I would like to recline my seat, if it bothers you just let me know and I wont recline.  The reclining seat does not bother me,  but I was like WOW this kid was reaised properly.

Pro tip from a frequent flyer & father. If your kids don't behave, talk back, won't be quiet & don't listen to commands at home they aren't going to magically start doing it at 5am on a cramped airplane after an hour of standing in lines & their ears popping.

“He thinks he owns the arm rest so I’m going to show him that I actually own the arm rest”

Guy in the dark shirt was a second away from slapping the soul out of that guy then remembered he was on an airplane

Physicists have shown the smallest measurement of time is the gap between the ding and the aisle being full

A guy got on the underground and sat beside me and immediately tried to pressure my arm off the rest. I turned to him and said "If you want to touch me up then at least buy me dinner."

Just imaging david attenborough narrating “high above the clouds on the majestic 747 we see the male office worker assert his dominance by claiming the armrest”

If you're in the middle seat, the armrests are both yours. If you're in a windows or an aisle, you get one. That's my philosophy.

I think many people have forgotten how to “human”. We need to bring back shame.

I just sit back and wait until it’s mostly clear and live a healthy stress-free life.

I'm trying to get to the front...
Yeah, where do you think the rest of us are trying to go?

the entitlement is unreal

"Window gets an armrest and a wall. Middle gets two armrests. Aisle gets an arm rest and a little bit of extra leg. We're not f*cking animals, we live in a society."

It's not a Kelsey video without a snack joke!

Crazy idea for armrest dude: "hey, could I claim the armrest for a while? I'm happy to trade back again later."  It's called "manners."

Regarding the armrests - I usually start by introducing myself and letting the person know that I don't usually need the armrest, but I may have to get up on rare occasions. It lets that person know you are a civilized and thoughtful person setting a tone for the rest of the trip.

"People used to dress up when flying." A family member would say to me when observing someone with no flying etiquette.

My grandpa once taught me: If there is an armrest you need to share with your neighbour, to either rest my elbow on the back or my wrist on the front, so both of us could share it without there being any inconvenience. That’s how I handled this since I was ten years old and I never had any fight about the armrest ever in my live.

When they say breakfast is $50 all you have to do is say “excuse me” and then you can just take someone else’s food for free.

I mean, I do whatever I want but when I'm in a tube with 100 other people at 30,000 feet... what I want is to be nice.
