Mertens is not getting enough credit for beating two top ten players in a row. She thrashed Gauff and has now beaten Swiatek. Clean, hard tennis to beat both.

So gratifying to see E. Mertens win this quarterfinal!  She's a great player who has not gotten her due !  GOOD FOR ELISE!  WE LOVE YA !

Love love love Iga but Merten has been on FIRE in China. Fair play

I rooted for Lisa and happy she won, she plays brilliant tennis with great mettle

Iga and Mertens are VV similar players. It was all about the break. Love Iga but totally respect Mertens too.

El nivel del tenis ha subido... Swiatek sigue jugando igual... Victoria merecida de Mertens... Saludos...

Safa Siempre Iga,Puede Ser Mas Duras Las Derrotas,Sigo Insistiendo,Su Drive,Solo funciona Cuando Le Tiras Un Flan,Elise Merters,Como Siempre Felicitaciones !!!

Comentario Muyy bien Por Mertens. Y IGA Ya Tiene Tiempo Que Su Juego De Tennis No Cambia Y Ya No Es Temible Para Las Tenistas.

Why Iga can’t control her power!!!!!!

the pole is all about banging her opponents off the court. Mertens was intelligent to use a bunch of defensive lobes and spins to counter attack and brake her pace. Congratulations Mertens great improvement

Swiatek has a nervous tic, her eye twitches, her mouth is twisted 😂😂

Why does Iga keep choking in important matches? No wonder rumors about her early retirement from tennis keep growing. 😭

Still Iga playd too much like a robot meaning not enough verety .And she played to much in Mertens solid backhand .Mertens Playes very solid holding her eyes longer on the ball so she stays sideways longer.  And Mertens simpel but Effectiv servteknik was better than Igas !  I really not se any owerall improvment in Igas play although she got Rafas old trainer in the corner !

The only shame is the one spewed by shameful HATERS!!!

She will never win Shame shame

Jak się nie lubi ptaszka to się nie gra tak jak trzeba !!!!!!!!
