Now do record attendance for a single game. Not sure many would best Charlton in England at 75k

I think you should have divided this between pre and post Taylor Report. You could cram a lot more people onto the old terraces than with all-seaters or safe standing

The fact that wrexham's capacity is 10,000 says alot about it's tinpot background.

The last 15 to 20 years is a bit misleading because most give attendances based on tickets issued even when thousands don’t turn up.

Exited to see the red and white lads roar at Bolton

I think the Preston picc as gotta be when sir tom funny played . Still a local hero had a plumbing business. And a legend at that 🎉🎉🎉

In the 1950s Cardiff City regularly got about 58,000 at Ninian Park. 😅

Paused within 10 seconds, shoud be interesting to hear about my team Derby, I think I read the max was 40k-ish against Tottenham years ago.  I'll continue watching.  Interesting topic anywho.

As someone who has lived in several cities and towns throughout the UK in various jobs during my career in IT, I really don't give a toss about the size of a club's fanbase, only the quality of the football on show. While living in those towns/cities, I would often go to the local football team's home matches, and the quality of what I was seeing mattered - not whether they had a big fanbase. Also, we all know that even a small fanbase can give much more support to a team than a huge one – for example, many big clubs' home matches are like a library despite 40,000+ in attendance.

Obviously way above Southampton! PUP 💙

Ben, Birmingham cannot break their record attendance in the new stadium as their record attendance is 66,844 against Everton in 1939.

I knew Charlton Athletic would be right near the top. They used to actually have the highest capacity stadium and so even at 40K they were only 2/3 full.

Boro only has a population of 142 thousand

The top four aren't really a surprise but I'm surprised Watford didn't see some big gates during the Elton John era with Graham Taylor with Luther Blissett and John Barnes I suppose it was the gates being so down generally over the period, or that some of the other well established teams didn't get as much of a bump in the post war boom as the midlands teas and Charlton.

Do an all time average attendance...Blackburn well ahead of both Burnley and Preston.

Don't know if you already done it. What about each club's best home game attendance?

So if west ham still played at Upton, we would be the biggest club by miles
UTW

Lots of big attendances in the West Midlands - nothing else to do?

Well done, interesting video.

Very interesting however I feel an all time average is more informative than a 1 off abnormal season.
