Not only did he won 14 French Opens, not a single final went to a fifth set. His dominance and stats at RG is simply mind-boggling

I’m actually watching the Netflix Rafa documentary and I’m mind blown by this stat. Imagine going into a battle that you know it’s almost impossible to win. That was Rafa on clay.

One more staggering stat - his is a perfect 14-0 in French Open finals.

The man won more titles on clay (61) than losses on that same surface (53) throughout his entire career😅

If aliens came to earth and ask for a tennis match to spare the humanity let them play prime NADAL on clay.

A friend once asked me to explain Rafa's RG record in basketball terms.

I simply said the following:
>He has 14 rings when no one else has more than 7
>Has 100% finals win rate
>Won 4 of those rings without dropping a single game (4-0ed every team played in the playoffs)
>Never went to a Game 7 in the finals in all 14 rings

He was like: 🤯🤯🤯

Rafa on clay was something else. There are records that will stand the test of time and his 14 RG titles is one of them, probably the hardest to beat. It was a privilege to watch him play, especially at Roland Garros!

The 14 Finals with no losses will never be reached again. What an awesome achievement 👊

andy roddick summed it all up in two words what its like playing against nadal, devastating pressure.

14x participating in the RG is something only a handful of people have achieved
14x reaching the final? No way.
14x winning IS impossible.

"victory belongs to the most tenacious"

As you enter Phillipe Chatrier arena, you can read that in french and English. Sums up what Rafa was. It's almost as if when you read that, the bronze statue at the entrance flashes in front of you every time.

Isner taking him to 5 in the first round of 2010 RG was one of the strangest matches i've ever seen

❤This is my goat, this man won the hardest grandslam 14 times ,if they had two grandslam s on clay it stead of two on hard court this man would more slams

Rafa was so dominanant at RG that you forgot how hard it is to actually to win it, this year's RG (2026) being plagued by upsets just reminded everyone that just cuz you are favored to win on paper, sometimes, the red clay just doesnt agree

Talent and passion so GOATed, they had to nerf him

It’s amazing how videos like this just come to me after seeing videos since last year talking about how sinner and Carlos would for sure beat the goat of Clay which looks more and more unlikely

What people also don’t realize, after that sf loss in 2021 to djokovic, natal didn’t play Wimbledon and played only one more match that entire season before having foot surgery…. The foot was bothering him during the match 100%
