Horns were always part of their sound.

And yes, the backup ladies are The Emotions and their song 'Best of My Love' is freaking fantastic.

This is the official skating song. Roller blades on!

The high voice in this song is Philip Bailey and he did a song with Phil Collins.  It’s called Easy Lover.  I think you would like it.

Earth, Wind and Fire is amazing. I've loved them for decades.

You gotta do Shining Star by Earth, Wind and Fire next. You will love it ❤

Please listen to Fantasy ❤❤❤❤

This song just brings me right back to dancing on the lit dance floor/disco club/70's. Good times!

I still pull this song up when I am driving if I want to get into a good mood

7:50 EWF’s horn sound wasn’t just the four core guys; they had a whole semi-permanent second unit you’re hearing on this one called the Phenix Horns (Don Myrick on sax, Louis Satterfield on trombone, Michael Harris and Rahmlee Michael Davis on trumpets). They came up together in a Chicago group called the Pharaohs before joining EWF, and by this point they’d been part of the sound since 1975, so more like family than hired guns. Sax player Andrew Woolfolk (an official member of the band) is also on this track and on “September.”

And the vocals aren’t just EWF either; The Emotions are the featured group on this one, which is part of why the chorus hits so hard.

Backup Vocals by legendary EMOTIONS. Check out their song "The Best of My Love"...good stuff!

Questlove recently made a documentary about the band. From Google: The definitive recent documentary on Earth, Wind & Fire is Earth, Wind & Fire (To Be Celestial vs. That's the Weight of the World), directed by Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson. Released by HBO Documentary Films in June 2026, the 119-minute film explores the band's spiritual origins, genre-defying evolution, and massive cultural impact.

Went to their concert back in the day, blew me away how many people were on the stage, and the vibe was nothing short of heavenly.

Great reaction, yeah, this song is Hella brilliant! It came out March 1979, same year I graduated high school,. First time I heard it was at my high school prom – everybody was on the floor, crazy good dance party song 🎶

The bass player is lead singer Maurice White’s brother Verdean White, and you can always tell who he is because he is the one who is always, always dancing joyfully as he plays with a big smile on his face.

This song and video has such a joyous energy, I love it!

They’re definitely fire! …Earth & wind too
