I love the use of a Mimic in this story, they’re not a heavily used Spirit in ghost stories but this one is pretty accurate and I love it.

I get it when the kid was young and didn't understand, but like, after some years, maybe tell the kid? Especially if you know he's starting to be on the mom's side. Like. Just tell him what's up? I feel like one short acknowledgement to explain to him is gonna be better in the long run than multiple (admittedly smaller) acknowledgements through the years that eventually culminate in... this. And that's not even using the method of circumvention that is used in the story! Like. If you can't say it aloud then casually give him one of the journals one day?

Being critical of plot holes aside, great work. Love listening to these.
