lol weighing food is not a Japanese thing, it's a baking thing! Usually ppl who use the metric system (which is almost everyone, except for the US and a few other countries) will weigh their food when baking. Though cups are becoming more commonly used because it's easier. if your measurements are super off, baked goods won't come out right.

Hey Sharla, you're supposed to gut the pumpkins first before you cook them!! That's why the bottoms fell out.

One thing I'm noticing from watching Sharla's and Taylor's vlogs is that not only does Taylor have a really dirty mind, but Sharla is amazing at accidental innuendo and inadvertent references. You two compliment each other really well.

Pumpkin incontinence: "Umai"? Or "Oh, my!"? Next SHAYLOR...

Now i know why you guys failed making the pudding
because you didn't weigh your ingredients! XD

@abbyrose1868 9 years ago

you guys saying nice size and grabbing 2 round pumpkins made me laugh

@rielamarcellis 9 years ago

The cooking was a failure but the video is a success, is a fun video. I suggest you guys do this every time you meet, try a recipe you have never done before and see what happens :)

weighing food is a pretty standard thing to do, Sharla.

You were driving me crazy in this one! I pretty much follow recipes exactly the first time so your laid back measuring style was killing me 😱

@ellion2676 9 years ago

I can't stop laughing cause my attempts in the kitchen end up the same lol!

You could still do a live cooking show! "Sharla's Kitchen Misadventures". 10/10 would watch.

Big tip for baking and doing anything related to pastries and such: FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. Do not try to make up your measures because the most likely result will be failure. In order to "twitch" a recipe, you must first know how to do the original one. I speak from experience ;).
