The resource grinding in this game is ridiculously full time. I just want a survival game with a pve conflict system. Loot abandoned bases and lose gear on death etc. Conan basically.

Don't forget to enjoy your first play tho... you only get to experience the game for the first time once :)

I just want the dragonfly helicopter, but whoever designed the progression must be a Stormlight fan, and is following the "journey before destination" ideology (and did a good job designing the progression systems, they're addictive)

50 hours in and im about to make my first ornithopter

9:40-
This cannot be emphasized enough. Thousands of ore only seems like a lot when you are running around on foot hauling just what you can fit in your pockets. The buggy is an absolute game changer for how it enables industrial scale harvesting of the nodes you've been using this entire time. For everything.
-A five-minute circuit around any of the Ironworks in the Vermilius Gap and you can walk away with enough ore to fill an entire medium iron chest.
-Hitting just ONE single fuel cell nodes will give you enough to completely CAP A GENERATOR for the full 20 days.

You will spend more time driving the buggy to the Hagga Rift and back than it will take you to harvest all the Ethyrite crystals you'll need for any phase of building.

I finally got my ornithopter after playing at a slower, more completionist pace, in about 139 hours.  I found a well armored stillsuit chest piece and powerful sword that made fighting easy, and could take out half a dozen mobs relatively quickly.  In that time, I also unlocked all 5 character types, and can now (as you said) start enjoying the game more than ever.

Another important thing I would emphasize to solo players it not to sleep on Dew Harvesting. If you find yourself back at your base and it's nightfall, grap your Dew collector and as many empty literjons as you have. The blood pumps and Death still are great for passive water gathering, but you can easily scoop far more water per hour by grabbing it yourself.

Yup can confirm buggy - game changer, take care of water, storage and you are good

I should have watched this about  200 hrs ago all this time i never realised i could have had this earlier. Joys being an old pensioner gamer lol.

I collected the loose small Aluminum ore around the larger nodes. Sucked, but saved a step and went from MARK 2 to MARK 4 cutteray.

Thanks for the video. I got all the materials yesterday it feels good flying around the map 😊😊

I wish I had built the buggy so much sooner. I’ve wasted soooo much time doing runs with the bike, thinking the buggy was going to be too slow. Just got it last night, and brought back more ore in one trip than I know what to do with it.

Edit: Also built my main base on the island south of the Anvil (where the patch of drum sand is going south - north. Felt great for the first 10 hours, but now my aluminum runs feels like they take a million years. Just built a secondary base much further up that I’m slowly delivering resources to and ramping as I make ore trips

This game is such a grind had no idea… smfh

Thank you for the video, I’ve come back for a reference on how many ingots I needed or where the place was for industrial pumps at etc.

You also have a good voice, direction, and entertainment aspect to the video itself. Thank you for the content. ❤

Saw this after already got mine, but pretty good guide :)

Lol 60 hours in and I'm just now getting this

Thanks for the awesome guide, came back a few times and it helped me get all the materials in 10 hours, waiting on water to purify but i should have my orni by the 30 hour mark 🙏

Dude, these guides are so well explained. Clear and concise with just the right amount of detail. Awesome work. Subbed.

Great tutorial, I have now my first thopter. Lots of fun :)

This was a very helpful video, started over on a new server a friend rented and chose that base location after moving from my old base location (was a breeze with the buggy storage capacity) was just recently able to make the Mk 4 cutteray to make getting ore easier also made 4 deathstills to make 100k water every hour comes in handy as well. Didn't know where to get the other resources for the ornithopter but since I haven't been that far West I didn't see the places to get the other comps. Thx for the video it gave me a clean pathing/route to farm.
