Crystal Clear is one of my favorite hacks of all time. So many things are in the game that Shockslayer doesnt remember everything included. The ability to turn Lugia into Shadow Lugia before capturing it was so cool. Solving the Unown Pillar quest added so much to The Ruins of Alph that i desperately wanted as a child. All of the Megaman music in the game and even the weird stuff like one of the Elite 4 having an 8-bit cover of a Streetlight Manifesto song as their theme. The most replayable hack ever created.

Thank you for making the video. I'm the head admin of the discord server, sorry you had so many weirdos show up and froth at the mouth in your comments trying to stir shit that's been resolved for literally years lol. Hope you continue to enjoy our little game!

Crystal clear and polished Crystal are the two best Crystal roms

07:35 they actually showed exactly this in the Pokemon Generations anime if I recall correctly. When Red goes to battle Brock, Brock is shown opening a case with multiple teams of 6 mons and selecting a specific team based on what Red had. Pretty neat and I have always head cannoned this as well!

I spent months hatching eggs to get my all time favorite Pokemon, Shuckle, and named him Shucks, because then I’d have Shucks the Shiny Shuckle, and whenever he’d faint in a battle against friends I’d loudly go, “awwww Shucks,”

Now, seeing you with an awww shucks Shuckle, I just can’t help but smile. One of the all time greats :D

One of my favorite things about this romhack is that you can customize the color palate for not only your player character, but also every Pokemon on your team.

It's like build-a-shiny workshop

Shuckie sitting in a box in your home account proud of how you made one of its brothers a champion

You should try pokemon emerald seaglass i really enjoyed that rom hack, i actually wanna give this game another go now seeing you play crystal clear

I have nothing but respect for ShockSlayer and his team for giving my favorite game of all time such an amazing open world expansion and one so well done.

Nintendo not being able create an open world Pokemon game like this, but that’s okay. Crystal clear is soo freaking good… I remember playing it awhile ago

11:19 I 100% agree! No feeling was worst than fighting a tough Pokemon like Claire’s kingdra just for her to heal it and finish wiping your team.

Started playing this rom hack an hour ago and this appeared in my yt home screen. Nice video.

The biggest shame is the horrible self-insert Elite Four. Otherwise a magnificent ROMhack.

Crystal Clear is fantastic! Honestly, for years the Rom hack community has been pumping out better games than GameFreak

Great video I am a big fan of Crystal Clear. My favorite romhack of the last few years was definitely Emerald Seaglass for a lot of the same reasons.

Crystal clear blew my mind. So much love and passion in a project. Gen 2 often feels like my favorite so when I found this rom hack I was so happy. By far my favorite pokemon game

The ROM hacking community is awesome, definitely need to check this one out.

Glad you’re getting more into rom hacks! There’s a whole new world of pokemon rom hacks out there to experience. I recommend playing Pokemon unbound then Pokemon odyssey then Pokemon team rocket edition for some spice!

So many little details that are so clear now. The wire frame of the principle office in the background when Dot snaps out of her daze.

Also love the world building on the later half of season 1.

Played this last year and need to replay it. Its honestly kinda the best way to experience Crystal. I mean, sure, the original is still fun but this version feels so modern and convenient. The extra content he added is also a ton of fun.
