Did 4yrs of military service and i love GOW so much. The military humor, slander on higher command i.e. prescott, Governments doing shady stuff etc. It is all too accurate
This is when Gear was cooking… You had a horror misdirect, leading to a puzzle lore dump and the real horror reveal, then a battle with ranged enemies in combination with weather obstacles. I wish newer games were half this good.
There were so many unsettling questions left unanswered here. They sent Delta here to find the Nexus. Why would a classified government science facility have that specific location? Why were the grubs just hanging around and Niles barely mentions them? (if at all...) How was Niles powered up for so long? Wouldn't the power lines have been cut? Wtf was razor hail? (That is straight up demonic weather 😂) And most of all, how did Baird fit that huge blast charge in the Centaur?
Two things: 1.) I wished Gears 5 made mentions about Dom. 2.) I wish there were a game that centers around Niles and New Hope, sort of like shady dealings.
I kind of like how this isn't really explored any further in 3. It makes what happened there feel that much more ominous and wrong by having your mind fill in the worst details.
I think the locust there were a cleanup crew to keep the sires from escaping. There’s so many flamethrower units it’s quite obvious they wanted to contain the facility.
