Good morning — first light live, Friday, September 25, 2026.
Hurricane Polo is a Category 5 again this morning with 160 mph winds, sitting a few hundred miles south-southeast of Cabo and forecast to work toward Baja early next week. That storm is already sending swell energy up the line, so keep an eye on the surf and the offshore bite.
Bigeye tuna are showing up. Yellowfin and dorado are in the mix too — and that includes the striped marlin you’re looking at. Really excellent surf fishing is already going this morning as well. Bait has been jumping, pelicans have been working, and the yellowfin croaker bite is on.
