The spotlight ended up changing the whole feeling of this one.
Originally the quarry was almost completely black, but once the beam started cutting across the snowfall it suddenly felt huge and isolated in a different way.
Most of the sound here is just cold wind moving through open space. There’s some distant machinery buried way underneath it, but barely enough to pull focus. The emptiness became the interesting part.
This is probably one of the darker industrial environments I’ve done for LSJ so far.
Nothing really happens.
Just snow, floodlights, and a massive pit disappearing into the night.
