They had to make a group specifically tasked to kill off zetas, Mata Zetas… El Mencho led them and eventually created CJNG
The circle of life for cartels is crazy

Whoever runs this channel, y’all are legit lol the amount of research & knowledge that y’all are giving is gold

For those who don't know Spanish the letter Z is called zeta. The entry points to the US and are owned by various cartels. The fights happens when someone want to muscle in these entry points.

Here in Mexico, the Zetas were considered the most powerful cartel in modern times, so dangerous in fact that the local police had to flee on sight if they encountered them, they had to contact the military to even fight them

My dad was a car salesman in Nuevo Laredo and was abducted by Los Zetas in 2005 when I was a kid. They had mistakenly believed that they were aiding the Sinaloa cartel with ford explorers. Him and 2 other car salesmen were detained by the municipal police, beaten, and handed over to uniformed sicarios of Los Zetas in a rural boulevard in broad daylight. They were forced into pick up trucks and driven outside the city for hours and taken to a ranch near the city of Valle Hermoso. They were beaten again by more sicarios and questioned if they had ties with Sinaloa, which they didn't. They saw how other people who had ties with Sinaloa were unalived and disposed of through barrels filled with gasoline. Back then the war between Sinaloa and Los Zetas was silent and they fought through abduction that they called “Levantones”.

The OG Zetas were guys trained by American Special Forces (Green Berets) and Navy SEALs making them the worst player.

It’s like Armchair History but not just a million redundant “WW1/WW2 From The X Perspective” videos.

One of the best docu-series on the Tube. I'm a fan!

When I was in Mexico in 2012, 4 of us from the resort were in a Taxi headed to the Cancun strip and One guy jokingly said he was a Zeta or mentions the Zetas and the Taxi driver started flooring it. I didn’t understand why at first, then I realized he was terrified, and wanted us out of the car

ah nice, was gonna see my family but this dropped thx yo

We have been waiting 😭😭

These episodes remind me of Narcos Mexico. Unfortunately, they stopped the series, but that's why we have this!!!

The very best produced and researched narco/crime documentary series I’ve ever enjoyed. Especially here on YouTube. It’s a hell of an achievement that deserves a much larger following. Cheers!

I love that you actually try to pronounce the Spanish names properly. I’ve watched so many videos on this topic with no effort given to that detail.

Seeing this drop made my day.
We needed this.

Been waiting for the Zetas vid…If this is the setup to cover CJNG that’s about to go crazy 🤯

This is the group that got me so fascinated with cartels. The sheer brutality these guys brought was on a whole other level but at the same time I couldn’t get enough of reading about it. “The Guiso” is one of the most heinous acts of violence I’ve ever heard of.

You guys make some dope cartel docs.

Let me tell you what i appreciate:
1. Pacing, neat and consistent
2. Imagery, relevant and not overdone
3. Audio, clear, no soft spots
4. Commentary, no silly sounds and unnecessary commentary.

Well done.
