Enki was the Sumerian god of wisdom, fresh water, and creation. According to ancient beliefs, he ruled over the Abzu—primordial underground waters believed to be located deep underground 🌊.
In this video, we'll explore an unusual interpretation of ancient history. It suggests that Enki didn't simply rule the Abzu, but left something active there—a process that continues to unfold beneath the desert sands millennia after the world of ancient gods and myths disappeared.
We'll turn to real Sumerian mythology and examine the place of the Abzu as a source of fresh water, wisdom, and life force. We'll also discuss the divine ME—sacred decrees that, according to Sumerian belief, determined the structure of civilization and the order of the world.
We'll also pay special attention to Enki himself. In myths, he often appears as a creator, master, keeper of knowledge, and secret patron of humanity. We will also explore ancient Mesopotamian ideas about Kur—a mysterious world located beneath the earth's surface.
It is on the basis of these ancient ideas that we will attempt to understand the meaning of the image of a process that continues to operate in the depths beneath the desert ⚙️.
It is important to clarify that no verified Sumerian tablet directly claims that Enki left a functioning mechanism or system underground. This story is the author's interpretation, based on actual Mesopotamian mythology, and not a literal translation of an ancient text.
This is part of a larger study of Sumerian gods, myths, and enigmatic cosmological concepts that, thousands of years later, still make us wonder about how ancient people conceived of the world 🔥.
If you're fascinated by ancient civilizations, lost texts, and the mysteries hidden in humanity's oldest myths, this story is definitely worth checking out.
