Can Michael Carrick and I fix Manchester United transfers? We face off against my dad and Roberto De Zerbi in this FM26 experiment.

I have taken control of all ins and outs at Old Trafford, leaving tactics to Michael Carrick. Meanwhile, my dad has been hired as the director of football for Roberto De Zerbi at Spurs. This Football Manager challenge puts our management styles to the test to see who can build a more successful squad.

This video is for anyone who enjoys a Football Manager challenge and wants to see how different transfer strategies impact long-term club success. We compare the recruitment decisions made at Manchester United against the approach taken at Spurs, analyzing the impact of our director of football partnership.

Subscribe for weekly Football Manager experiment breakdowns, and let me know in the comments which team you think will win the league title first.

Go full DOF mode and you can sack/hire managers if you need

@adampazaitis5167 3 months ago

Do the same challenge with Xabi Alonso and Iraola

A youth to gold - director of football edition would be a fun concept. Can maybe have a spin the wheel of the top 10 managers to decided who is your manager until you win the UCL.

Great vid as always! One little note tho, Baník Ostrava is a team from Czechia not Slovakia, we take it very personally when the teams in our countries get switched. Eastern European mentality 😅

Note 2.0 - not a fan of Carrick's appointment either.

Can you edit the perfect manager, with all atributes at max(even the hidden ones), and freeze his atributes so they don't go down, and then take care of his transfers only?
I would like to see if the perfect manager would make such mistakes as we saw in this video.

Carrick will adapt as the head coach. I mean if he adapts like he was as a player he will do well. Needs backing and you remember how Carrick used to defend as a DM? Positioning was elite level and rarely slid in for a tackle. Right place right time.

Love this
(As a Man Utd fan I am very worried about Carrick as a manager, but we shall see!)

PCL is the posterior cruciate ligament in the back of your knee. Usually torn through an impact on the front of the knee that hyperextends it beyond straightening.

I did mine a few years ago diving for the crease while batting in indoor cricket and it was excruciating pain.

1. carricks loyalty to spurs was clearly stronger than the one to utd so he sabotaged this whole challenge
2. its almost like these managers dont learn the game engine and insist on playing the most useless role for full backs - inverted anything
3. it would be interesting to see you both taking over after 5 years just to prove the point
4. both of you need to learn how to control teams finances better

Would have liked to see you guys play a final season against each other as managers.

should do points where who can make the most profit in the transfer window- bonus points.

Who can sign a player and sell him for more profit should be points too-

anyone that signs a player and sells them without making profit/ break even should be deducted points too.

All fun and games signing players but as DoF managing transfers in and out- should be judged based on that too and how well you can control the finances, gains etc.

1. LOVE the video lads, great idea 🎉
2. My Tottenham team 5 years in is £800m in debt and gave me £402m to spend with £3m in wages to spend. Finances in FM26 are horrendously broken.

For your knowledge, an ACL is ANTERIOR Cruciate Ligament, a PCL, is Posterior Cruciate Ligament.

Hey!
Was that my Swedish team Hammarby IF who beat Bologna in the final of the Conference League there in season 2?? 😲
I'd love it if you guys could do another Swedish challenge with the 3 teams from Stockholm! 😇
