How about it? A season of solo play set in the LotR universe!

"I have them all...I just haven't run it yet" Glad I am in great company.

I'm a simple man. I see MM&D puts out a new video, I click to watch.

I’ve bought the 2nd edition and it’s one of the best rpgs I’ve ever played! Really worth giving it a try!

Silica gel: DO NOT EAT
Me: you're not the boss of me!

It’s great to see the combat map which was originally released with the Moria sourcebook being included in the starter set as this map is so useful in both home games and on a VTT.

I lost it with the Silicone Gel. I really wasn't expecting that 😂

Unbelievable timing, I just bought this for my brother as his intro to RPGs

Nepitello is one of the creators of War of the Ring!  Best board game ever!

Reading it I thought the adventure might be a bit slight, but when I ran it, it took two full four-hour sessions. The first was a bit slower because we didn't know the rules that well, but in the second session we started to let the scenes and encounters breathe a bit and it worked perfectly. The one thing I found was missing was a proper council scene, so I incorporated an easy one in chapter 2 where a neighboring village needed to be convinced to take up some survivors of the goblin attack. Worked like a charm.

And yes, the way they managed to capture the feel of Middle-Earth with this and all the other books is pretty astonishing.

2:56 the way I gasped 😮

Please oh please do a Strider mode game on The One Ring 2e edition!

That game looks pretty interesting I like how everything is so detailed vary good quality! Would love to see you do a solo play video at some point when you get some Free time. if you haven't already done so already.

You are so right on how they nailed Lotr. Listening to the series again with my knowledge of 2e, everything fits, there isnt one bit of their journey that you would have to fudge the rules for to make work.
To gush more, the Moria supplement is utterly amazing, even just to read.

Always great to see and hear your insights about various TTRPGs, Mr. Duvall.

I played the ICE version of this game in the late 80s and early 90s.

This looks like an awesome box. Would love to see a session or two of this from you if you find the time

I hope you keep doing videos about other systems and games. Your take is always very informative and fun! Have you seen the news about the Stormbringer/Dragonbane from free league?

How about a cheeky featureless Grey plain?

This game has great solo rules (Strider mode) I would be interested in seeing you play it.
