Senator Elizabeth Warren grilled Chris Klomp, a nominee for Deputy Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), over the lack of transparency regarding secret drug pricing agreements. Warren argued that despite a commitment made by Secretary Kennedy five months prior to provide the committee with these contracts, they remain withheld. While Klomp insisted that pricing results and frameworks are available on the Trump RX website, Warren contended that without the full contracts, the committee cannot evaluate the actual terms, potential concessions (like tariff relief or FDA fast-tracking), or confirm the administration's claims of significant price reductions.
