I love Daniel Smith watercolors ❤.  I recently purchased the watercolor sticks.  Just trying them out.  A rep from Daniel Smith came to my local independent art store and did a two hour demo.  I learned so much about how their paint is made, plus he gave away a large dot card and one watercolor stick.  Hope everyone has a chance to see a demo.  I have been using watercolor since 2020, even though I earned a BA in Art decades ago, but did not try watercolor, thought it would be impossible to correct errors.  Finally got brave, I don’t regret it for a minute.  Glad I found your channel today, I subscribed.

Love Daniel Smith, thank you for sharing!

Gorgeous swatches. I am slowly collecting daniel smith, so I don't have favorites yet. I have a few of the primatek, and like the sleeping beauty turquoise and amethyst.  But my understanding is the amount of mineral in them is nearly none, so it would be disingenuous to say it is made from crushed amethyst.  Instead, it is made from traditional pigments with a bit of amethyst in it. Amythest crushed basically is gray, it wouldn't look anything like that without other pigments.

I love Daniel Smith, too!  My favorite color by far is Cascade green.  I use it so often and it's the main color in all of my paintings and the color I am constantly refilling.  I really love how it granulates and shows that gold and turquoise.  It's so pretty.  I really like your favorite colors and they look great in a palette!  I really want to try Sleeping Beauty.  Do you have this color?  and do you like it?

Hello. Thank you for your video. Does Daniel Smith work well with wet-on-wet, like spreading and blending? I’m kinda new at watercolor and am using Holbein.
