In the spirit of deep ecumenism and interfaith ideology, the Rev. Matthew Fox leads a chant in mantra format, invoking varied names of the Divine. He also guides a meditation practice by “calling in the four directions” and invokes a shared silence.

Rev. Fox, an author, theologian and activist priest, has been calling people of spirit and conscience into the Creation Spirituality lineage for over 50 years. His 39 books, lectures, retreats and innovative education models have ignited a movement to awaken people to honor and defend the earth and work for justice.

Fox founded the University of Creation Spirituality to establish a new pedagogy for learning spirituality that’s grounded the West’s own mystical traditions.
