Inside Kellogg’s: The Mega Cereal Factory | Secrets of the Factories | FD Engineering

Europe’s Biggest Cake Factory - Inside Mr Kipling: Europe’s Biggest Cake Factory: The Secrets...

The Kellogg's factory in Manchester opens its doors to reveal how some of the nation's favourite breakfast cereals are made. Larger than Buckingham Palace, and running 24 hours a day, five days a week, the factory produces one million packets of cereal a day. Cameras spend a day there and follow the process of making Corn Flakes, Crunchy Nut Cornflakes, Rice Crispies, and Coco Pops, with members of the workforce as guides.

They also didn’t mention that in the 70’s and early 80’s all cereal boxes had toys in the boxes and you normally had to dig through the cereal to find it

What really made cereal popular was having milk was finally practical for most people. Before electricity and refrigerators it was difficult to keep milk from spoiling.

I find it funny that the Kellogg employees are so genuine with their explanations that they are openly leaking company secrets

What they don't tell you is that the Battle Creek sanitarium burn down and that's how will got hold of the recipe and took it to market John was upset with the idea and tried to create his own line of Kellogg's and got sued by Will AKA his brother

I used to go to the Trafford Park site on a regular basis, while working for a haulage firm, where products were transferred to the Wrexham factory and vice versa, that was back in the 1990's. People that worked at both sites were always very positive about the company and how well they were treated by the managment, and their salries were excellent as well.

Special K with strawberries or raspberries is the bomb

I'm glad the cereal companies kept the lower sugar cereals like corn flakes, etc. I wish the corn flakes had some packaging that kept more of them from becoming crumbs.

I don't mind having some for breakfast these days, but for me, coming from Eastern Europe and the former USSR, it's really strange that people like to eat dry, crunchy toasted cereal flakes for breakfast. How about some proper food, like oats porridge, or fried eggs? BTW, listening to the accents in this video is such a linguistic pleasure!
