what about photo backup? does the backup to iCloud give you as much storage as you want to backup your old iPhone with photos? and restore from iCloud you did not show photos restore option

I transfered device to device from my 16 pro max to my 18 pro max and it only took about an hour on my home wifi. The update for the 18 pro max took longer then the transfer lol

Great video! When you get to the part for image playground and there’s the toggle on or off if you allow it to use your pictures and common phrases to suggest images, once you’re past the initial setup, where do you find to turn that on and off that option in the settings?

Restoring everything but my phone number worked for me. My number is still associated with my old phone and each time I tried to transfer it to the new phone it failed. Now I'm having to wait on the network to complete the transfer which could take 24 hours they said. Very frustrating.

I wonder why no one seems to recommend setting up a new iPhone from a MacBook phone backup. It would seen that a Thunderbolt connection would be much faster than wifi. Am I missing something? Perhaps the MacBook backup only works to restore an existing phone. However, I thought you mentioned that a MacBook backup to set up a new phone was possible. Any thoughts?

My experience was not easy and I was at the Apple Store. They recommend using iCloud backup but it was extremely slow. Took over an hour. Restoring my cellphone was not nearly as easy as yours. It took me over three hours at the Apple Store to get my two cell phones setup and I’m still working on getting all the apps passwords setup . Also I had problems with one phone since it was setup only for my wife’s Face ID. I could not wipe her phone since she wasn’t with me and it required Face ID plus the passcode to wipe the phone.
