Fire Alarm Test 124 | Old Simplex

4050-80

This is the 3rd year ive done the inspection at this location, however this year has by far the most footage. I was pretty much on my own with this building so I was able to test every device myself. I also was able to let the full alarm go for longer and key into previously locked rooms.

those 4050-80s are cool even though they are dead. i’m debating if i should get one or not, they are SO rare though

4:14 just to add insult to injury on a retrofitted 4050-80. “Look how they massacred my boy”

There’s this one school in Beaumont TX that they have a similar setup which is Simplex 2903-9001s with 9806 horns, Rear mounted. However, these are light plates instead of strobe plates. Also there is Simplex 4903-9101s and 9105s in there too. Another school in Dibol TX has these 2903s with 9806 horns too.

Yay!! The code 3/temperal coding vintage fire alarms! They sound good and cool altogether!! I've seen videos of vintage fire alarms including 2903s, 4903s, even with 4051s, mostly on the continuous ones.

I love the sound of the alarm device at 11:38 minutes into the video

Very nice system! Good ol' classic Simplex. Those strobes are extremely dim tho.

I havent seen much of these in person but theyre becoming one of my favs

The walk test failure I’m sure had to do with the ground fault. The ground trouble clears after the system goes into alarm, which is odd. Poor 4002

Bro I've watched you since test 1 you have found some very cool old simplex systems I'm shocked still stand today
