Oh my goodness, my late brother and I used to fish the canal, in the mid sixties, as it passed by London Zoo. Such wonderful memories!!! Thanks Robbie

They certainly knew how to build things in those days and look how long it's lasted 😊

😊 love watching your journey thanks 😊

Nice Belt. My father was a leather craftsman in Shepherd’s Bush Market and made custom belts. Including some that used the actual triumph motif used on the sides of their bike petrol tanks!  He also made the belt that Harry H Corbett wears in Steptoe and Son; it features British regimental badges.

Thanks Robbie.  I should have done something like this years ago.

I remember when we went past the London canal museum,  all those years ago

Watching this video is bringing a lot of memories of when we travelled on the London Ring, Regents Canal and the Grand Union Canal, several years ago

I appreciate the effort that goes in to making these videos. Watching them is so relaxing and thereaputic. I would wager that making them is not.

Nice to see again Robbie as i built the building with the orange bottom steel frame opposite the station.and used to have an afternoon lunch n a smoke on the bench where you dropped off Wendy,I enjoy your programme as used to live on a 32ft narrow boat myself "THE NOGGIN" on regeants n the lea and been through maida and islington tunnels many times 😂 i was told bck in the day when boats were towed by horses the men on the boats when having to navigate through the tunnels they laid on they're backs on the roof and used they're legs on the ceiling to push the boats through!😂dunno how true that is all the bloody brick dust in yuh eyes!!

I remember going along the Hertford Canal and I remember we didn't turn our boat into the canal very well

Little Venice is where we travelled when we were on our canal holiday, when we were travelling on the London Ring

Great stuff! Halfway watching.. Early boat dwellers would have had access to public baths at some point!

I've got a photo of this tunnel, the day we travelled through it

Hard hats on a canal boat😂😂😂 building site actually

I used to walk along the Dudley tunnel cos I was born up the road from there

The Regents Canal is part of the London Ring, which we travelled on
Several years ago now

Limehouse Basin is where we travelled onto the River Thames

My bedding(reminds me of hamsters when ppl say bedding) is changed twice a week but if I was on a high protein diet maybe 4. Luved how u cut the metal chimney off  ur so good at diy. I think it all looks so easy when we r watching other ppl drive boats but I bet if we had to do it it wouldn’t be. Locks/ gates all got to be learnt.Once u know ur the boss u will be respectfully bossing it🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿✌️

Going through Islington tunnel is something I'll never forget

I am I used to work with Wendy in the county of Rutland many years ago! I would recognise her voice anywhere
