Best Ending in movie history, it's too satisfying.
It's sad cause we don't get to see what happens once he's free, but we don't need to. He is a free man now.

"We accept the world with which we are presented with."

Truman show came out before the Matrix, and did a better job at representing Bauldrilard's hyper-reality.

"Cue the sun" best open-your-eyes moment in the film. Among everything else that happens to Truman up to that point, that's where really everything falls into place.

Although there’s many funny moments, Truman show is a very sad story.

1:05:32 it's amazing how everyone's silent at the same time so they can focus on the information. It shows how they are engaged with the movie so far.

One of the best movies I've seen in ages. There are always new things you notice the more times you watch. That "You're welcome, Truman" from the officer still gets me every time.

How could none of those reactors said the most basic truth: each one of them is their own Truman. We are watching them right now. Many, many people.

36:25 Noah Emmerich is amazing in this role-within-a-role. For another amazing performance in which the “shoe is on the other foot” for Noah Emmerich, check out The Americans. It’s an Emmy-winning show starring Noah Emmerich, Matthew Rhys, and Keri Russell. Considered to be in the same top tier as The Sopranos and Breaking Bad.

Okay I'm pretty sure this wasn't intentional but the number on the sailboat is 139 at least that's what I thought I saw and it immediately reminds me of Psalm 139 which is all about how God is there wherever we go we can't get away from Him which is a beautiful thing in that sense but I just find it very funny that this movie is about someone who basically thinks he's a god of this man's life and for the longest time he couldn't get away from him so it's like taking that concept and making it creepy instead

1:06:07 I have a crazy theory about the caller who hung up. What if that was Truman himself, and at some point, he ended up calling them, even though there were cameras watching him everywhere at all times. They don't show Truman getting up or anything because the movie switches to the producers.

Or it could just be Sylvia highjacking the call somehow. Either way, i always thought it was a bit suspicious

53:30 This is my favorite scene in the film. It shows Truman is "woke" now, so that product placement ish to distract him from the truth ain't gonna work anymore 😂
