I Built a Horde Base that Defies the Meta Strategies! (Ep.8)

Guns, Nerds, and Steel

In this playthrough I'm building a new base every 5 days and the type is determined by a random wheel spin! But each week, the Dark Lord (commenters) curses me with a unique challenge to overcome. If I die? We press forward with permanent loss of progression and inventory - but with a blessing (commenters) bestowed upon me. No two weeks will be the same!

It's hilarious that the storm curse increasing the number of loot bags ended up being a curse too.

Blessing of the Sunday Zombies- the zombies feasted on your last body and are fully stuffed and full, all zombies are waddling and could only walk, no running, no sprinting and no faster zombies than a morning Sunday walk

NICE BASE!

I pray that the Loot and Steel Gods bless you with a Friend (like a Drone) with maxed out Inventory Space, filled with one full Stack of Magazines for a Tool/weapon, and one piece of Armor.

Blessing of gains: You gain 2 skills points instead of 1 per levelling up

I would love to see this base Refined

Blessing of the Groundhog. Lord of light lets you repeat your week to try again with the knowledge of the failed base.

I really enjoy all your energy, hard work and editing to bring us such entertaining content Tem - thank you! I hope the comments decide to stay at your razor base -refine and improve it and make it work so you can have a successful horde night in it. The base was not fully finished and lacked some finesse. All those loot bags lol Good luck in the next attempt :D

You GOTTA do a rematch with the razor!! I think it would be cool if you get whatever blessing you choose then also get a reward if you survive the rematch with the razor base.

Razor base redo. I think it was the best video, has the most potential but still will be hard to survive in...I think the other bases you kinda know the solution . Thanks you for the fun video.

That loot bag wall was insanely funny.

This is how my wife and I play....we refuse to do the meta horde bases. So cheesy.

I just found this series yesterday and binged the whole thing. Honestly I don’t mind not spinning the wheel as long as we get more videos. I’d love to see this base refined and done again.

Blessing of the bag: you get a loot mod, scavenger armor, eye candy, and maxed lucky looter to go through all the loot bags from the storm, then reset again before you take any magazines or anything

Blessing of the Sun God: Day time is extended, All zombies are slow in sunlight (day time), Exp is tripled as all things grow in the light, and wandering hordes are drawn to the city you are in (more frequent spawns) since there is so much light and warmth from the Sun God's blessing they can't help but migrate in from other regions. Plants also grow faster.

That's my favorite part about this game. You come up with a fun base idea, work on it a few nights, test it out, then learn from the horde what to improve on. Man I love playing this game again, I've been having a blast the last few weeks.

I like this base design , my suggestion would be the following...

1. Raise the roof by 5 blocks and angle it so they can't stack. Also create a repair/ shooting area up top. Something like a catwalk above the blade traps.

2. Add in doors near each blade trap you can open from the bottom that allow loot bags and zombies to drop down.

3. Add an escape hatch near the fighting position to access the catwalk and roof.

4. Add turrets that aim at that maintenance hallway just in case they get in.
