Instead of screwing your French cleat mount to the wall and making it permanent, cut a piece of 3/4” ply to fit between the top of your bottom cleat and the underside of the top rail. This will lock the mount onto the French cleat rails. You can do this for anything you put on the rails.

I would add an extension cord on your boom so you can just plug in your tool with the hose.

I just bought that same hose system after fighting for years with adapters, and my next project is making an arm similar to yours. Nothing super complicated, just something to get the hose up and above as well as a place to store it. Dig your design with the hooks, I think I'll do something similar. Loved seeing someone bust out like every hole saw in existence, nice!

Little tip to help reduce snag is to run the lines over your shoulders and behind your neck, then down your sanding arm. I've done this for years with every DA sander and its just become second nature now ✌️

Great idea. U can wrap the cord around the hose too and get tht out of the way.

I would think the hose would come off the hooks. I would have made the hooks into hoops. Still  pull the hose through when you want but the hose wouldn’t come off the hooks while in use.
