This is not my first video on the Watts case. Please go check those out for more content and context. This is my focused analysis on the interaction between law enforcement, Chris Watts, and his neighbor only hours after Watts had murdered his family. From the very beginning, Watts began displaying alarming nonverbal signals. Here is what the law enforcement officers (optimistically) noticed during their first moments of interacting with the killer.

I was planning on uploading this Saturday, but I'm headed to my family's farm to celebrate my dad's birthday, so you get an early upload. Have a great Friday and rest of the weekend! See you again soon!

Chris: 👁️ 👄 👁️ 💧
The neighbour: 👀?

If I were innocent, and my neighbor may have video evidence of my family leaving the home on the day they went missing... I'd be all OVER that video! I'd make him rewind, zoom in, fast forward, and give me a copy so I can keep looking for little clues.

The neighbor stares directly at chris for several seconds right around the 31 min mark he totally read him right away

@willwetherington 1 year ago

When he turns away he's literally looking for the door to get the hell out of there. Also, the neighbor wasn't even watching the tv at some points. He was looking at Chris

If it were me, and I was innocent, I would be GLUED to the neighbor's ring cam. I would be watching like a hawk & every movement saying, is that something? Is that someone?
I'm not saying that everyone would behave like this, but being totally detached from it is such a huge red flag

The neighbor having the intuition to say something regarding his body language is amazing. God bless that man!

I feel like he kept looking at the officer to gauge how he was feeling about the neighbors garage footage

Hearing “husband and father” to describe Chris Watts is jarring

@sharkey2733 1 year ago

Chris Watts was so obvious. He wasn't even facing the TV when the officer came in. Why don't you want to see what is on the video, Chris?

Fascinating how these people think they can stay cool, calm, and collected when police shows up to call them out on their actions

@annaguimaraes7343 1 year ago

I believe Chris though he'd have more time to report the disappearance of his family and rehearse his act.
He didn't expect that her wife's friend was so worried and had already called the police.
And we can't forget his neighbor who immediately noticed that Chris's behavior wasn't right.

To an untrained person he just looks guilty AF the whole time but it's cool to watch a trained person break it all down.

It's so satisfying seeing him melt under the pressure. This loser thought he was so clever with his plan and didn't even get a DAY to relax.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention the fact that he keeps looking at the door like he’s desperate to get out.

@N1c0Th3Cr0w 9 months ago

When my cat escaped and I couldn’t find her at first, I was starting to lose it. I was crying, yelling her name and “pspspsps”ing, overall just a wreck until I saw her just sitting in my garden watching me lament. If that was my pregnant wife and daughters???? Yall would think the world was ending by the way I’d act. I would be useless, crying, on my knees, paranoid off my bricks. They’d have to sedate me.

We want a video on unknown number

@JoeWells-t5h 6 months ago

The fact of that commercial on TV being a baby fetus in a heart, and that reminding him about the pregnancy is another extremely chilling moment in this case.

@gmelissa3131 1 year ago

He doesn’t make eye contact and he can’t look at the tv, because of what he did.

@jeffyweffy4504 1 year ago

My favorite body cam moment of this, when they were in the house after the phone was found and the officer tests Chris by talking to dispatch and he jumps to look back at the officer so quickly.
