Nice review. It's my favourite Irish Whiskey. I'm a Canadian who doesn't care for Canadian Whiskey. I love my Bourbon, especially Wild Turkey 101 but this is my 2nd favourite sipper next to WT 101. All I need to be a happy man is my Wild Turkey 101, Jameson Black Barrel, Pabst Blue Ribbon and Guinness annnd my Detroit Lions. Lol 😂

If you like Cadbury fruit n nut chocolate add a drop of CS Prohibition to this, you won’t be disappointed, great review nice whiskey without the CS addition 🥃

I wasn't planning on trying this, until a friend poured it for me last year. This blows regular Jameson out of the water for sure. I ended up storing a bottle in my mother in law's house, since it is never wrong to have some whisky at hand, when you visit your mother in law. ;)

I enjoyed this whiskey, the one time I tried it.

I hunted this down, mostly because of your review here. I had a taste a couple years back and it did not inspire me. Now, I am sipping along with you and I love it. Flavour beyond 40% (Why did they not release at at least 43%?). I enjoy the mixed nuts, but the creamy nature and good fruits come through too. It finally went on offer and so I pulled the trigger. I really enjoy it. I'll try to review before March 17th! Cheers!

The Jameson "oddballs" all seem to be great. Recently done a deep dive with the Stout Caskmates which was fantastic and be interested in what is your favourite Jameson release? Looking forward to this series.

In the 90s Jameson 12 year was a longtime go-to of mine. Went looking for it after a long break from it - and discovered the 12 year was taken off-market in 2016. Near as I can tell, this is virtually the same product - except it's blended with 8-12 year whiskey (making it a rebranding exercise from the 12 year moniker). The smell and taste and overall pour is side-by-side identical (to me). The fact that it's only 5 dollars more than I paid in the late 1990s - makes it all the better given the price of ... well, everything ... these days. I start it neat to get the most flavor off the top and then add a couple of large ice-cubes at the finish (no watering down).
