Terrible that Lee. I always wrap some PTFE tape around the pipe before I put rubber boots on, then tighten the jubilee clips down with a socket. Also if there is one thing I've taught the Mrs in the event of an emergency, it's to shut the bottom drain ball valve and the skimmer. Looking good buddy 👍
Well done Lee, had an unexpected overflow of my temp pond last year while building the new pond, gravity is a cruel mistress sometimes! came back home to the fish in 4inches of water... D'OH. In other news, the lawn looked great after all that fish water...
Feel your pain brother, had two wipeouts on 2500 litre reef tanks over the years whist on holiday, heat breaking. Touch wood pond nothing major other than main filter has had issues and supplier has now taken over a year to sort it, those times when your in the moment and the one screw falls in that hole you couldn’t get it into for a million quid, but it does…. Good to see your resilience and positive ending. Defo give Oase some shit over the fittings, big money and should be better
Wat a nightmare buddy !! So glad you weren’t on holiday !! Not good from oasis ,especially when u pay big 💰 ! Least you’ve sorted it though 👍loving the videos mate aswell
Bl@@dy hell Lee that was a close one😡😡😡. The outlets you are using are 150mm (unless you swapped them out for the 110mm /4” options?) whereas on my system those outlets fit into the 150mm inlets on the individual unit and the outlets on the individual units are 110mm. I think the actual internal diameter of the rubber connectors varies from make to make, I used Evolution Aqua 4” to 2” rubber reducers on both my outlets from the individual unit and they fitted quite snug but even so I used 2 jubilee clips on each rubber fitting👍😊. Filter house is really coming together and has inspired me to get my build going👍😉. Looking forward to seeing the start of the pond extension 🤞👍. Take care and stay safe👍🈲🐟😊
