Rip Charlie Murphy 🙏

this is a joy i never expected. watching a German experience Dave Chappelle. enjoy the madness that was the silver age of television.

3:02 - Charlie Murphy (the guy telling the story), was Eddie Murphy's older brother. He sadly passed away 9 years ago. He was also a comedian like his brother and as you can see here, he was funny asf.

Charlie Murphy voiced Ed Wuncler III on The Boondocks, (if it wasn't obvious.)

the Rick James story is so iconic and we still quote it all the time and call our buddy "Darkness"

Look up the cover for the album “Breakfast Can Wait.” Prince used the image of Chappelle portraying Prince holding pancakes.

She'd definitely love "The Player Haters' Ball".
But oh, I would so love to see her thoughts on "Clayton Bigsby"...

The basketball fame actually happened, Prince confirmed it.

The Charlie Murphy stories are actually some of the least insane things Rick James has done. Dude was a legit Psychopath 🤪

Prince loved the Chappelle Show and Dave’s impression of him so much that he had him dress up as him again and take a picture of him holding a plate of pancakes and used it as a cover for one of his newer albums.

CHARLIE MURPHY! 👊 💥

"What'd the five fingers say to the face?" - literally one of my favorite all time drops.

Charlie Murphy’s Hollywood Stories feel like a real time capsule, these all happened and the reason why Chappell Show recreated these skits is because Charlie just happen to tell the crew some of his stories one day. They said they couldn’t believe that they were all real and other people who were there confirmed it. It’s still sad that we lost those three guys, Rick James especially died not too long after they interviewed him for that skit, Prince asked Dave Chappell to dress up as him again for his album Breakfast Can Wait, and because those stories were so memorable The Boondocks had a scene in their second season where one of the characters (Tom Dubois) recreated that “fuck yo couch!” skit in a courthouse.

At last year's Horror Con in Los Angeles I met the woman from Prince's Purple Rain she was very sweet & said Charlie Murphy's recounting of this was accurate 😂

His legs is like linguini! 🤣

WAIT! That didn’t include the full Rick James story! There’s another part! Find it!

Why do they always cut out the last skit for Rick.  The China Club skit is hilarious.

I wish they would reupload this to include the last part of the Rick James story.

If you happen to read this, there IS a third part to the story but for some reason it isn't on the official Youtube video.

Prince could play ball very well. He was on his high-school basketball team for a good reason.

"Cocaine is a helluva drug." Still my favorite line for when someone does some dumb shit 🤣
