For over a decade, Method was one of the most prestigious guilds in World of Warcraft. They dominated the Race to World First, turned their raids into major streaming events, and secured sponsors that took the guild far beyond the game itself.
But in 2020, everything began to unravel.
Josh Thompson, known as MethodJosh, one of their most recognized and popular players, was publicly accused by several women of serious abuse, harassment, and inappropriate conduct. The case led to his expulsion, the departure of numerous members, the loss of sponsors, and a massive crisis within Method.
However, an even more uncomfortable question soon arose: how much did the organization know before everything became public?
In this documentary, we revisit the history of Method, MethodJosh's rise to power, the accusations leveled against him, the warnings the guild received years earlier, the police investigation that resulted in no charges, the decisions made by its leaders, and the subsequent collapse of one of the most important organizations in World of Warcraft.
We also analyze the complex debate surrounding public accusations, organizational responsibility, and the presumption of innocence when social media passes judgment long before a court of law.
And Josh's story didn't end with his disappearance from Twitch: years later, his name resurfaced during the acquisition of a startup linked to the NFT market.

⚠️ Editorial note: This documentary distinguishes between public accusations, investigations, and established facts. Josh Thompson was not criminally convicted of the accusations discussed in the video; one of the investigations mentioned ended without charges. References to alleged conduct are presented as accusations and testimonies, not as a court finding of guilt.
