After Matpat retired, he then moved to his streaming channel, GTLive, And as of writing this comment, Matpat is retiring again, mainly from GTLive, where just like he did in his first retirement video, he his giving up the role of host to someone else (and btw love the video)

If Fe4rless ever comes back, the first video back will make not only YouTube but all social medias go crazy

Good quality video, I got to see a variety of how some youtubers go out, usually you would see videos talking about the main point of one of the ways youtubers go out and giving the general sense that it's a precedent as it was the only thing covered.
But getting to see multiple ways they succeeded in stepping down, or what it was that made it a bitter disappearance, or had been found out and called out for being scum in every which way, covering the variety gives a better view of it all and I appreciate you for showing us that because of how easy it is to dwell on the negative aspects.

Great video, but Ottawa is the Capital of Canada and there's around 1.5M people.  Not quite a small Canadian town.

I've watched matpat for a long time so the final theory got me balling out in tears. I couldn't keep it in and till this day is one of the greatest goodbyes ❤

5:58 the video with him saying that him and his wife sold theorist was one of the hardest videos for me to watch, but this video was definitely the hardest for me to watch ever on YouTube but it's was never my or anytime else's choice to decide whether he can leave YouTube or not, or was always Matthew's and his wifes decision and while I i don't like that he retired, i will forever respect him

imagine getting in a feud with a lawyer, accuse them of "plagiarizing" you and expecting to win.

Why do we have to end this year with MatPat retiring, a ton of other either getting exposed for some weird crap or quitting YouTube, and Mr. Beast being exposed for some terrible things. Hopefully 2025 is better.
