Lambert's notes about his transformation remind me of Resident Evil's itchy tasty notes.

Considering this was more of a side story than a mainline entry, they put a lot of work into building up the tension, and eventual reveal of the monster, which gave it almost Alien Isolation vibes, with a lot of callbacks to the first game as well.

The bureaucracy of suffering is such a fuckin hard line omg

so sorry if i mispronounced names but I can barely speak english lmfao, so hope you enjoy regardless :D

This channel is heavily underrated. Hoping you get big soon!

wonderful! I'd love to hear your take on Still Wakes the Deep!

Theory:

I personally believe the transformation, made to use the powers of darkness, does two things...

One:  It makes the eyes ultra sensitive to light.

Two:  It increases hearing to unbearable levels.

What happens in the darkness?  Your other senses increase, including your hearing.  Every sound is strong enough, painful enough to kill a human, which is why it was necessary to increase the subject's fortitude to survive even the smallest noise.  To locate prey through echolocation, not vision.  The subject would go mad, do anything to stop any and all noise, turn a bunker full of soldiers making noise into a silent tomb.  The gunshots didn't hurt him physically, but, rather, the noise hit his ears, the muzzle flash his eyes, to drive him away.

This is why the other gouged their eyes out, yet still moved with absolute accuracy.

In ancient Rome, there might have been torches that needed extinguishing in the tunnels, but no guns creating explosions in their ears to drive the creatures back.

The changing element was likely a virus suspended in bacteria, designed to change human attributes, that could hibernate for untold lengths of time, similar to the leaves in the movie, "The Relic".

Ive been waiting so long for some AAA game studios to make a game with this formula. I love RE7 and The Bunker so much. Idk why they don’t make more self contained first person horror games with combat. The immersive sim elements are brilliant too. I’d buy every original release of stuff like this over another Assassin’s Creed etc.

I am one of a thousand who have the beast plushie, I love him

Amazing video, as always. one day my name will be buried in a sea a comments, the quality of these videos is impressive.

first off what a amazing video. you put great effort into making this video and I gotta say you should be proud. secondly this is a great video not just exploring the gameplay and Lambert  but the stories of all the soldiers amongst the bunker. Lastly I loved your segments after concluding the story it's awesome and I love your takes on the themes very refreshing to hear so thank you for the hard work man. PS: you did great with you English keep up the great work!

37:14 Wasn't the rabbit left in the crater? If Lambert had the rabbit, then he probably wouldn't have reacted the way he does when you give it to him.

The gameplay at 12:35 drove me MAD with rage...blood on my hands...blood on my hands!!!

I absolutely love the way you paint pictures with your words. You've got a new subscriber!

This is like an Eldritch horror version of Paths of Glory. Awesome breakdown of the story and themes, btw.

My only real critique would be repetition failing to serve as graduation and coming off as just that, repetition

...other than that though, allow me to give you a well earned like - thank you,I loved this ^^

The true evil, BUREAUCRACY!!!
