Josh Allen wasn't supposed to still be searching for his first Super Bowl appearance.
Since taking over as Buffalo's quarterback, Allen has turned the Bills into one of the NFL's best teams. But despite the regular-season success, Buffalo has repeatedly fallen short in the playoffs.
From the collapse against Houston in 2019, to the Chiefs' dominance in 2020 and 2021, the heartbreaking loss to Cincinnati in 2022, the wide-right loss to Kansas City in 2023, and the controversial 2024 AFC Championship Game, Allen's playoff career has been filled with some of the most frustrating losses in recent NFL history.
Then came 2025.
For the first time, Allen had a playoff game where his own mistakes played a major role in Buffalo's elimination.
So was Josh Allen simply unlucky? Is Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs dynasty the biggest reason? Did Buffalo's defense and coaching hold him back? Or has Allen himself been part of the problem?
In this video, we go through Josh Allen's entire playoff journey from 2019 through 2025 and try to answer one question:
Why can't Josh Allen get to the Super Bowl?
