ESP32 tutorial for absolute beginners β€” learn how to program an ESP32 from scratch with no prior experience. In this ESP32-C3 tutorial we wire three LEDs on a breadboard, install the Arduino IDE, write our first program, and upload it to a tiny $3 ESP32-C3 board. Every step is shown and explained.

This is not a product review or an advanced build β€” it is the simplest possible starting point: a handful of cheap parts, a step-by-step wiring guide, and code explained line by line. The goal is to get something working first. Once your LEDs are blinking, adding more components and building real projects becomes much easier. As a bonus, we also add a push button and modify the code so the LEDs change every time you press it.

πŸ› οΈ In this video you will learn:
What ESP32 boards are and which one to pick
How a breadboard works and how to wire LEDs and resistors
Why LEDs need current-limiting resistors
How to install Arduino IDE and add ESP32 board support
How setup() and loop() work in your first sketch
How to control GPIO pins with digitalWrite
How to upload code to the ESP32-C3
Bonus: reading a push button with INPUT_PULLUP

This tutorial is for anyone getting started with ESP32, Arduino programming, DIY electronics, microcontrollers, or their first steps toward home automation and maker projects.

πŸ“¦ Parts used:
ESP32-C3 development board
Breadboard and jumper wires
3x LEDs + 3x 220 ohm resistors
Tactile push button (for the bonus example)
