So happy Greg is back! Not only does he have a calming voice, but he's also a walking encyclopedia😀

I'm Brazilian and even I needed some help with "The Secret Agent" whole backstory - not necessarily the political or historical context but specifically with lots of "folklore" from Recife and Pernambuco, the city and state that are mainly portraited in the film. I'm very glad you both enjoyed it!

I love videos with Greg!!

Bugonia was fantastic! The ending I did NOT see coming!

Greg should know that the opening scene with the ship in Frankenstein is all practical (or rather majority practical - they built the ship outside in a parking lot in Toronto! It was on a gimbal so it rocked side to side as well). The Creature / Elordi’s costume was also all practical. There’s a 30-40 minute behind the scenes special on Netflix and it really is worth a watch! Delves into a lot of the costuming and the also the use of practical vs CGI.

26:15 you’re referring to the tale of Orpheus & Eurydice :)
I highly recommend the musical Hadestown which is about their story, and it’s amazing.
People always talk about the “folly of man” for Orpheus looking back, but I think that to look back is to care and is to be human. There is no world where Orpheus doesn’t turn around because that wouldn’t be Orpheus! And all of us embody that part of him, I think.

I’ve never been so early!!! Love the duo videos :))

18:39 frankenstein created the sci-fi genre, gothic literature was in full swing at this point

TWO HOURS? I'm feeling spoiled no pun intended

also, fun fact, I think the show Linda was trying to think of with Renate Reinsve was Presumed Innocent, with Jake Gyllenhaal. Gyllenhaal’s daughter in that show was played by none other than Chase Infiniti! I believe that was her first actual credit, but One Battle After Another is her first movie role

Best way to get home from fire academy. You’re the absolute best. Love you guys

Yes more movie ASMR ❤

Penn Jillete played the guy who lived on the farm and ended up with the mobster’s dog. Blew my mind when I realized that

Loved the Cooper the cat feature👋🏻🐈‍⬛

Have I seen any of these movies, nope. Did i listen to the whole thing, yep 😅😅😅 I love your voices and also your back and forth 😂😂 ❤❤

Wow, Linda that quite the story to end on 😂😂😂😂
Loved the video once again tho.

I can't wait to listen! I just watched the tenth BP nominee last night!

Edit--OK, that was good. Linda, you and I agree on the takes a lot, but are mostly opposite on likes (other than Hamnet - we both loved that!)! How weird is that?
My favorites:
1) Sentimental Value
2) Hamnet
3) Train Dreams
4) Sinners
5) Secret Agent
6) Bugonia
7) Frankenstein
8) Marty Supreme
9) F1
10) One Battle After Another
Who I think will win:
1) Sinners
2) One Battle After Another
3) Hamnet
4) Marty Supreme
5) Sentimental Value
6) Secret Agent
7) Bugonia
8) Frankenstein
9) F1
10) Train Dreams

I like you you two were talking about how one movie was 2hrs and 20somthing minutes and said “oh that not that bad” and then mentioned another movie being 2hrs and like 5 minutes, saying “that’s still pretty long” 😂😂

Hi Linda and Greg.
Hamnet - Jessie Buckley was totally mesmerising and...look, I'm a 65 year old Yorkshireman but hell, I was in pieces at the end of this film.
