Hello, I'm Dmitry.
Today I returned to the little log cabin I recently discovered beside a quiet forest stream. When I first found it, the cabin had been abandoned for years. It was falling apart, but I saw the potential to turn it into a cozy shelter in the wilderness.
During my last visit, I repaired the stove, built a simple bed, made a sturdy door and table, and reinforced the old walls. This time, I continue bringing the cabin back to life.
I build a small roof over the entrance to protect it from rain, clear away rotten logs, create a picnic area with a handmade table and bench, and prepare a fire pit where I can cook and relax after a long day in the forest.
As evening falls, I cook a bird over hot coals and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the creek flowing beside the cabin. The scent of autumn leaves, mushrooms, and wood smoke fills the cool forest air.
The next morning, I check my trail camera and discover that a magnificent moose visited the area during the night. Moments like these remind me why I love returning to places far away from civilization.
Thank you for joining me on another adventure.
