What $100 Gets You in the Philippines Is INSANE π΅π
This is what $100 gets you in the Philippines.
Letβs see how far it can take me.
And trust meβ¦ youβre not ready for this.
How much can you actually get for $100 in the Philippines? In this $100 challenge, Iβm traveling across the Philippines to find out how many days I can survive on just $100 β including food, accommodation, transportation and all the unexpected costs along the way.
I start my journey in Manila and Makati, where I rent a motorcycle and begin riding north through Luzon, Philippines. What starts as a simple budget challenge quickly turns into an adventure involving unexpected floods, crazy roads, surprise expenses and some unforgettable experiences.
My first stop is Pampanga, known as the culinary capital of the Philippines. Here I try authentic Filipino food and visit Liliang Atchag, a restaurant preserving traditional recipes dating back to the Spanish colonial era.
From there, I continue to Tarlac City, where I spend the night in a very unique hotel before heading into the mountains towards Baguio.
In Baguio, I explore the famous Valley of Colors, try some of the best Filipino street food, experience the local culture and even go on a date with a local Filipino girl. I continue my motorcycle journey through the mountains to Sagada, one of the most fascinating places in North Luzon. Sagada is famous for its mysterious hanging coffins, mountain landscapes and unique local culture. I explore the town, try local Filipino cuisine and even attempt to find a traditional massage.
But the real question is:
What Can $100 Get You in the Philippines? Itr is a crazy money challange!
Can you really travel through the Philippines, eat local food, sleep in hotels and survive for several days with only $100?
This is my attempt to find out.
