Longthorne Gunmakers-- what a great company to deal with and 100% English.  I bought my Longthorne sidelock game 12 bore, weighing just over seven pounds, back in 2012.  What a great gun on game and clays, has given me over ten years  of great memories. Thank you.  I have a Caesar Guerini Maxum Gold Ltd edition side plate 12 bore, as my 'wet weather' gun.!  Hardly ever use it though.  It has very similar measurements and weighs just 2 ozs. more.

A gun that works for you rather than one you have to work, is a quantum leap. A genuine premium product. It was interesting to watch the recoil pulse on firing, which was nil for the most part. Great video, thanks for sharing👍👍

I'm glad he can see those clays... I am watching this on a 43" display and can only see about half of what he is shooting.

Miss the Longthorne JC partnership videos. I’m on the wrong side of the pond to care anything about the Longthorne but you gotta love a non corporate gun company and he seems like a very cool guy. 👍🏼

He was behind and on top of the second shot because he was shooting too late.  When he took the target a little quicker he smoked it!!  Man oh man Longthorne’s are beautiful shotguns, just stunning.

You almost lost me when Jim mentioned "moments of inertia' as it took me back to university and the calculus involved.  I felt sick for a millisecond 😳  Great video.  Have not seen a Longthorne in the flesh in Oz.

Wonder how a Mossberg pump would do in that competition?

Very interesting 👍👍

Are you wearing custom fit guard passives ?

What I appreciate is striving for excellence. The never ending search for improvement. It is such efforts that give us better tools. No, it is far above my pay grade, I never can own one of those hand produced master pieces, but that does not mean I can not appreciate the continuous research to do better.
One poster remarked that you can achieve the same results with a $1500 shotgun. A good shotgunner might. I never could identify with the attitude that is a bit like,  It is good enough for the girls I dance with. My answer to that, look for a better dance partner, it will improve your dance performance too

Blaser FBX v Longthorne Peregrine.

Nice to see a proper watch on the wrist instead of the apple watch

Would love a longthorne but I don’t think anyone would want to buy my organs to fund it 😢

Lots of merit to that but it’s mostly what you’re used to. I learned to shoot with a 6lb Franchi 48AL and frankly I still shoot it as well as anything for the first 50 rounds anyway. I shot it in the mid nineties back when I could take the punishment. Now being older, I shoot heavier slower guns and have for thirty years but I still have to tell myself to give it twice what I think it needs. 😆 👍🏼

For the economy and UK shooting, what we need is for Longthorne to set up a sister factory and brand producing exceptional mainstream competition guns at the £5000 price point and take the market away from Beretta and Browning and bring the industry to the UK.

Tbh, if you add weight to your stock  till is feels correct for you, it does exactly what your saying. 😂 Again 32" 33" barrels are all completely unnecessary in shooting a clay 20 yards away

What is the beginning price for this lovely weapon?

Crazy money. But check this idea anybody that makes anything then sells that thing would like to get as much as they can for it. Make the economy go forward. With big ticket items there are people out there that go into hustle mode just to obtain them. Nothing wrong with that. If that’s what you wanna do then it should be done.. for those don’t have the ability that’s OK too, but making crazy expensive shit is all good. It’s all a part of our life cycle.
Everything can’t be just super cheap. Imagine that imagine if everybody raced to the bottom for all products that are out there that we consume to get them as cheap as humanly possible along with that comes everything else wages go down insurance goes down the lack of excess money goes down, and people consume even more
Bring on the expensive shotguns. Although I will not be buying them.

🥴

Overpriced just to suck as much from your wallet as they possibly can. It's maybe a 5 to 6 thousand dollar gun because of quality. Anything beyond that for a shotgun is pure unadulterated greed.
