I cried through the fighting after THAT scene.  I think they nailed it and they further nailed the breakdown of Cloud in a way the original never did, and I say that after having recently played through the original.  They really amplified everything in this game.  I can't wait for Part 3.  Mideel is gonna go so hard...

Re Aerith scene impact being shifted to Church (stellar and beautiful scene) and a cathartic moment in Part 3 - 100%.

Entire faith in the devs.

Thanks for another video and have a happy new year!

The Yuffie-Glenn connection could also explain why she wanted to assassinate him in Junon. Really wanna see the FF7 team really flesh Wutai out.

aeriths death in rebirth is done perfectly, and part 3 will wrap everything up in the best way possible, people just gotta let the emotions cook, and most just choose to get mad that its not a one to one remake...

16:32 That's why I think the death of Aerith will be used by Sephiroth in the North Crater and not in the big Lifestream scene. As a mean to break Cloud's mind before he disappears.

If anyone but Tifa is in that following scene, that is about Cloud's youth and identity, I'd be surprised. It'd be odd.

Excellent content. Excellent music choice! Instant subscribe! ❤

Another great video.

Theyre just furthering the unreliable narrative aspect of the game with Aerith. Part 3 is going to be all about grief and the stages of grief. What is the first stage of grief? Denial. They want us to experience this from Clouds POV. They want us to be in denial.

11:09 i was under the impression omni Aerith escaped the church and they spoke one last time in the ancient forest explaining she's been searching for the real him.

A bit late to point out if not talked about already. But during Aerith's death,  when switching between the two versions. Cloud has blood on his glove in one of them.

Thank you.

I just wish there was an option at the start that says “I’ve played the original yes/no”

If no, you get a 1:1 remake. 99.9% of the work is done. You actually just need to remove scenes if anything.

Imagine being new to this game. Playing it and hearing the players who ticked yes are getting a different story, and when it’s all completed you get to replay this game again but with the alternate timelines. I’d love that idea.

Everyday I thank god that the Devs are not taking any input from fan takes/theories, on how the LSS should(will) play out 🙏

It’s been a while since I finished rebirth, and I still find myself watching opinion, videos, and interpretations. I don’t ever recall doing that with another RPG. I really enjoy listening to other peoples thoughts and interpretations on the ending and where it might go. It’s interesting that peoples feelings are so all over the map regarding the updated scenes circling around Aeriths’ death. It hit me far harder than the OG and has stuck with me for months. Yet others saw it as empty.

If the devs wanted a mix of emotions, I’d say they accomplish their goal. The only truth we know for sure is the story is still incomplete and unfortunately, we still have a long time to wait to finish the book.

Aerith will def get screen time in pt3 she didn’t even get her ultimate weapon yet and Nomura said a person can be dead in one world and alive in another. Ultimania literally said her fate isn’t known yet. I think Zack will help with Cloud’s identity too since he was present in Nibleheim

I am a new FF player I guess, my first one was FF 10. But I guess I don’t really understand how some feel like the ending was ruined. Only because how could you feel the impact from the death if you have already experienced it? You know what’s going to happen, so it won’t feel the same as if you were experiencing it for the first time. Her death impacted me because we got to see her grow with everyone and the sisterly bond she created with Tifa. Because of that character development, that scene where it felt like we could save her, really placed hope within the player, but of course when the scene ‘fixes’ itself yeah it hurt. I watched the OG gameplay and yeah I see why so many loved this game when it came out.

Will Elfe with Zirconiade & Fuhito appear as enemies in Part 3? Will Deepground send Player Tsviet, Usher, & Shelke the Transparent to Hunt Down Vincent & retrieving the Protomateria? Will Lucrecia be Catched & experiment on by Hojo & SOLIDER Candidates from FF7: The First Solider? Will Ravens from Before Crisis appear in Wutai in Part 3? Will Deepground use Genesis Cell to improve SOLIDER Candidates? Will Shinra Create Earth & Water Materia?

16:00 in Aerith words “you really had to go there huh?” 🤣🤣🤣

I finished Metaphor finally this week. It is a great game but... there is no way I would ever consider it being close to the caliber of Rebirth. It has some great moments but the political commentary is very surface level to where I found myself wanting to side with Louis by the end and the game does this thing where it gives you this illusion of choice with the dialogue options towards the end of the game and then hitting you with a credits roll as if to punish you for picking the "wrong" dialogue. This happened to me 3 separate times forcing me to sit through the credits and reload the save to select the dialogue option i didnt want to choose in the first place. And I dont want to hear people complaining about Rebirth being too long because a Hard mode first playthrough in Metaphor will absolutely put rebirth's length to shame.
