I spend a simple and quiet day at home making homemade pork lard for my family.

I prepare the pork fat, slowly render it until golden, make crispy pork cracklings, and store the finished lard in jars for future meals. Doing everything alone makes the day feel a little different, but the daily routines at home still have to continue.
