The trim strip is a very important part of the installation.  It not only creates a smooth transition from deck to pool.  It hides the gap which will start to show in freeze thaw conditions

thank you so much i never istalled a pool before i have watch all of your videos and they are so helpfull thank you.you guys rock,Carlos from Albuquerque

Wow, what a great video for swimming pool builders and DIY fiberglass pools all over the world. Great job Jason.

Bro been doing concrete for 25 years in Cincinnati  area.  People are calling me off hook for pool  decks. So I am very interested in your pool school. I've  just went into business for myself.  The small company I worked for, I pretty much ran the pour crew. Boss and his son would do all inside forming using step Meyer cantilevered forms. So I need learn all I can about that phase of pool decks. So information  about the pool school don't  really want learn how build a pool but just inside forming . This video was step in right direction, thanks!

Thanks Carlos!

Cantilevered means overhanging or protruding. Unless this pool has some sort of odd angled setback, it looks nothing like traditional cantlivered coping

Pretty cool, here in southern cali we strip forms and tool , not bad though I might try this method one day

Slick work brother

Great video thanks

The song is Guns and Roses Jose!

Looks great but how do you remove the wire that is wrapped around the screw afterward?

Why didn't you use a plum strip around the top of the pool that goes on before the cantilever coping?

Jason so pouring concrete deck over top the gunite bond beam and up to the  form attached to the tile.. I understand there needs to be a separation of the deck and the top of the gunite shell so when the deck moves it doesn’t take the tile with it?  How is this accomplished?
Thank you hope to hear back from you

How do you bend the forms around tight curves without the thinner top edge of the form misshaping and leaning?

@MRBOBCATKING
It can be finished with or without the lip, depending on whether you pour the concrete to the tip top of the form or leave it down a fraction of an inch.  Both ways are fine, as long as it's consistent throughout the entire pour.

How do you adjust the forms to level for the pool that's 1/2" to 1" out of level

What type of aggregate are you using in you concrete mix? Someone suggested pea gravel even though i am doing a broom finish .

How do you hide the metal wire tie backs when you remove the the foam mold?

Was the LaserFilm replaced with the PlumbStrip??

Our Latham dealer says that our pool doesn’t come with flexible forms to pour concrete. Where do we get these?
