Thanks for validating my bag addiction.

I feel better knowing that there's someone with twice as many camera bags as me.

Thank you for the review. I will buy all these bags.

Love your work Chase! Always a good time when a bag list comes out 🎉

Freaking love these deep dives! And the little pockets of wisdom that you hide in each video.
chase you’re a freaking philosopher you know that right?

TBH, all these bags are great, like they always say YMMV. But what is more awesome? The ramblings and life lessons  from Chase, it is like you are in place where you are with him holding some beer or any drink while he delivers. PS, those Ponchos looks great on you.

@38:38 Camera bags are what brought me to this channel years ago. On this point of “going max” vs “going smaller,” I found that I was much happier and more present when I went smaller. I’ve got three setups now: Daily = iPhone only. And I now prioritize shorts/pants that have an awesome hip pocket (RIP Western Rise). Vacation = iPhone + 360 Cam. Working = Pelican Air with 2 cameras, 5 lenses, wireless mics, 2 tripods, and a handful of accessories.

Literally THE backpack guide i have been looking for for yeeeeeaaaaarrsss. Thaaank you 🔥

In love with my Peak Design Outdoor 25l bag for hiking and outdoor adventures. The back panel and extra straps are amazing.
For longer adventures I'm using the Moment Strohl 45L mountain pack. Bummed they discontinued that one.

That Boundary Supply didn't make the cut surprised me, but thanks for the excellent review. Cheers!

honorable mention to the Mindshift Backlight 18/26L bags.  Some might say the swing around is gimmicky but i wont' buy another bag without it!  I love them!

Love my Shimoda Action X50 for hiking in winter when I need to take all the wet/cold weather gear, along with lunch, water, tripod, sometimes crampons.

I'm on APS-C. Photography only. I use the Shimoda Urban Explore 20l for exploring cities. It takes my camera and a three lens setup, that takes me from 15-600mm (FF equiv.). For hiking in the mountains and safaris I have the Shimoda Explore 30l. It takes my 20l setup + a 105-300mm (FF equiv) f2.8 for shooting wildlife at dusk and dawn. Both backpacks take multiple water bottles and have enough space for accessories. I love them for their variability, their build quality and their looks.

I was just looking for a travel camera bag, specifically for a road trip. And more specific, to fit my film and digital hybrid gear. A Pentax 6x7 with 2 lenses (105mm and 55mm) and my Fujifilm XT30 with 2 lenses (16-55mm f2.8 and 55-200mm)
Wandrd Prvke was a contender but after trying it, a tad too small. Liked the bag and the color but just not what I need it for. Ended up going for the Nomatic x PM Everyday 25L bag. Fit everything I wanted perfect. Not squished. And surprisingly, bag felt really good for as heavy as I made it.

Daily I have a Sony with a tamron 35-150, a small first aid kit because my kids are crazy, a small bag of cords and memory cards, and an iniu power bank. I currently have a 18L pgytech but it is too bulky even when it’s empty.

I've been rocking a Wandrd PRVKE since the original kickstarter and have yet to switch to another backpack (despite being tempted by all your videos). It's travelled around the world with me as a minimalist carry-on. For local walk around shoots and hikes I tend to prefer a sling bag. I was using the Fuji XT line since the XT1, but since I got my X100VI (plus lens adapters) I've barely used my XT5.

Shimoda Action X 50 is my favorite large backpack when I want to max out carry on in modern planes with a backpack instead of a roller board as long as you don't stuff the top roll top beyond the height of the backpack frame.  Definitely for outdoors --- I can carry a lot of weight in it.  For camera gear, th Action X 50 can hold a *lot*, including my long telephoto zoom lens (plural).

Thanks for the comprehensive review. I was looking for a bag that was 30L, opened book style and had a removable waist belt The attached waist belts are a pain when flying. I think the Shimoda Action X  is the one I'll research more.

Gura gear ones seems pretty good
(Also just got a Ricoh Gr3x and it’s the best thing I’ve gotten to bring with me everyday. Currently using the wotancraft pilot 88 as everyday carry sling)

Would love to see a camera sling version of this video. Maybe parts with professional gear and parts for everyday use (eg. full frame rig vs compact digital camera what sling is for what)
