Love the colour you chose. Dark green for a home theater feature cabinet is a great choice. When you mentioned you didn't like the colour i had to say i love the colour.

Unless you have a dedicated music or cinema room where you can set out the system for optimum sound there will always be compromises. Looks like you have met your needs and have something function and decent to live with. Really interesting video.

Excellent video ! Gives a brilliant guide to the amount of work that is required for a complex install ! Not a 5 minute job ! Patience , planning , and time for slight mods , every project contains all these issues !! Thumbs up !! Especially mentioning electrician for part p !😮

Looks great, I’d probably have got a couple more quad plates for making the speakers off into a phono euro modules 👀 then make fly leads to the amp. Also the gap for the TV I would have made slightly bigger to avoid the aggravation of having to hunt for a TV that exactly fits when the original goes wrong

Pocket holes do a job - it's good to have the option.
Most important question is, what music are you listening to? I often put YouTube Music on and let it play - listening to different music rather than the same stuff keeps you mentally agile as you get older. (Would recommend trying The Skinner Brothers - the high production will suit your set up, and they are just ace besides. Prawn Soup is a good starter.)

Nice unit. I’ve bookmarked for my next unit. BTW - One would assume that the folks who said “TVs should never be above eye line” have never been to the cinema! And the idea of having a 60”+ TV meeting this criteria would require its bottom edge being on the floor.

Great build Charlie. A trick I have used in the past when trying to identify which cable is which is to join the red and black at the far end, and then put a multimeter on the red and black at the start. If you test for continuity and get a positive result, you know you have the right cable.

This was so good. I respect how much work you put into the builds you do as well as taking care to record and explain everything. Carpentry is something I'd like to get into soon although I'm not even sure where to get started yet lol. But watching videos like this is scary yet inspiring
