Pennsylvania Measles Deaths: What Actually Happened? — Doctor Explains

Pennsylvania has reported two measles-associated deaths during its 2026 outbreak, including a newborn. RFK Jr. questioned whether the deaths had actually occurred, while Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro accused him of spreading misinformation.

In this video, I look at what is actually known about the Pennsylvania measles deaths, why Children’s Health Defense is obsessing over severe measles cases, and what the medical literature says about measles during pregnancy and in newborns.

I also discuss recent measles cases in pregnant patients from the West Texas outbreak, historical data from the large Los Angeles measles epidemic, and what pregnant people can do after a measles exposure.

Now the trending news story is that the CDC is not counting these patients in the measles dashboard. The CDC has an asterisk for total deaths in the 2026 column. It says, "Updated on August 30, 2026". What do you think about that? https://www.cdc.gov/measles/data-research/index.html

Thank you! This is one of the scariest things…misinformation has effected a cultural shift in so that sound medical practices are ignored as well as one of selfish behavior…without herd immunity we make it dangerous for the vulnerable populations

The mother and all her other children were infected with Measles . When one of her children brought it home from school. The mother ended up in a clinic on an iv because of extreme dehydration related to the measles and gave birth. While she was in the clinic. The big issues is there is a fundamental disagreement between the county coroner and other State medical professionals about the cause of the spleen rupturing. As to what role the measles infection had in the weakening of the spleen if any. That lead to the rupture Once a spleen is ruptured it is very difficult to tell. What caused the weakening of the spleen. . Unless there is an advanced infection or visible trauma

Consider too that this is in mainly the Amish communities. Health policies are irrelevant. RFK has nothing to do with this. Their reluctance to vaccines predates RFK by many decades.

We've also had four people die from farm related accidents this year, and an average of 28 farming fatalities every year. Whereas the same unvaccinated communities as well as the entire state hasn't had a measles death for 35 years until now. Seems like farming is more dangerous than measles for us here in PA.
