🌏Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are home to some of the greatest Disney rides in the world such as Anna & Elsa's Frozen Journey, Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast and Journey to the Center of the Earth, as well as classics like Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean and Tower of Terror. But the parks are far from perfect, with people complaining about the food, character greetings, long lines, no character dining and more! I thought it would be fun to ask YOU what your number 1 worst thing at Tokyo Disney is.

I was there last week and had such a different experience of cast members! They were phenomenal. I don’t remember being told off for anything once. We lost some Vacation Package vouchers and everyone was awesome in helping us, and they were returned to Lost & Found. And the cast members at Enchanted Tale made our final ride at Disneyland more magical than I could ever have hoped. They recognised us from riding so often, and offered to take photos of us in the teacup and outside the castle. They were just the best people!!!

One of the most incredible things that happened in one of my TDL visits was getting on Peter Pan at a 15 min wait shortly after the final nighttime parade float passed by Haunted Mansion(this was during the NBC overlay) and I briskly walked to Peter Pan and when I almost got on the ride there was a massive queue behind me and I felt “damn this is the best night ever”

My two favourite parks in the world. Can't wait to return. The knocks for me are all small. The Main Street covered works for me. The phone thing is what's wrong with our whole society. I don't understand the Asian love for Duffy and Friends, but there you go. I'd much rather have merch based on all the other Disney IPs. I love when you come across a character in merch that isn't well known. Like the clam babies in Alice in Wonderland or Duke Kaboom from Toy Story 4. Note...I found all the Disney cast members to be awesome and not barky or rude.

This might be a dumb one, but for the Beauty and the Beast ride having a notoriously long wait time (I waited at least two hours), I wish the line had more to it to look at or feel charmed by while waiting. The ride is 100% worth it and I love that the ride is pleasant and long; I just think the queue could be more interesting.

My worst choice is the crowd control, avoid Small World, and Pinnochio Restrooms area as that has to be the most concetrated area of people in the park other than world bazaar. Hopefully it cleans up once pirate, thunder, and space mountain are open. Also go on Roget Rabbit during or before the parade as that where it stops last.

I sadly haven’t been to Tokyo Disneyland yet, but because it’s such an amazing resort and you love it so much I honestly enjoyed listening to some of your critiques of it and it’s a shame that the resort has gone down a bit since the pandemic.

4:37 Grandma Sara’s Kitchen was one of the restaurants I was most interested in going to at Tokyo Disneyland, that’s too bad that the food there isn’t good. How is the food at Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall? It was one of the restaurants that seemed to have the best theming at Tokyo Disneyland to me so I’m interested to know.

14:23 That’s disappointing to know as meeting characters is one of my favorite things to do at the parks, but hopefully since I’m not a local who goes often it wouldn’t be disappointing to me.

We didn't experience most of these issues on our trip last year, but that doesn't make them not valid for others. Tokyo Disney Resort is still the greatest themed entertainment resort on Earth imo. Definitely not perfect, but it's still the greatest!

The Fantasyland darkrides do feel a bit faster now that you mention it!

Went on a Wednesday in May, lines were 160 mins for all the major rides and the line skip tickets were gone by noon. Family missed most rides and dealt with a lot of tears (because the rides were amazing but couldn’t ride them).

I'm heading to my first trip to Japan in September early October. Spending 3 days at SEA and 2 days at Disney. Really into the planning stage now booked Mirricosta for Sea then Disney resort for the second part.

I did Beauty and the Beast single rider last month. It was smooth as butter. A cast member even gave me a 1st ride sticker event though it was the 3rd of the day and probably the 200th in general. That said, I tried to do it again later in the day and single rider was down.

For me the merch was disappointing. I understand that it’s catered to the locals tastes but man I feel like it was just keychains and Duffy crap everywhere. Also my go to restaurants were hungry bear, Gaston’s, queen of hearts hall (a little pricey), dockside diner and snuggly duckling.

For characters, I do kinda agree with how basic they are, but at the same time there are some overlooked spots that not everyone gets to see: Miguel in Lost River Delta in Oct 2025, Miss Bunny Meeko Thumper at Critter Country, rare sighting of Cheshire Cat in March 2025, etc

The worst part of Tokyo Disney Resort for me is the Oriental Land Company took away the annual pass ever since COVID-19. I have to pay for a 1-day ticket every time I go. There are no discounts for getting 1-day at Tokyo Disneyland and 1-day at Tokyo DisneySea either. Every other Disney park has discounts when you buy multiple days.

Thank you for this video. I think it helps me manage my expectations and to prepare myself for potential difficulties. I'm already not planning on getting a ton of merch (a popcorn bucket and maybe some Mickey ears), looking more to snack during the day than have a full sit-down meal (c'mere alien mochi balls), and am prioritizing which rides I want to ride based on my own preferences and tolerances (Tower of Terror is out, I hate drop rides...).

Are there any rides that you would think are absolutely worth spending a few hours in a line for? I plan on using Priority Passes and single-rider where I can, but since I'm planning two days at the park and am not riding every single ride I think I can manage one or two lines...

I think it also depends on your mobility and your group. I had an AWFUL time in January at DisneySea with my disabled mom because navigating the crowds and getting in and out of the rides was a nightmare with her wheelchair.

But I went with my 5yo in March just the two of us and we had a blast.

It’s something that’s not really mentioned in a lot of videos but the needs of your group might make or break your trip. 😅

What period of the year would you recommend visiting for the least amounts of crowds. I'm currently trying to chart out a future date for going there. possibly 5 days. and I was thinking that after the christmas season would be smart but i'm unsure. Usually here in europa parks die out after like the first week of january. Is it the same for tokyo disney/ sea? Like it would be a shame since this might be a once in a lifetime trip for me so i'd want to get all of the unique things they don't have in paris out of the way

Sadly I have to agree that the food is terrible. Although Queen of Hearts has really good food for the price!

Jordan, you are completely disregarding Alex's opinion of the curry at Disneysea-he said it was bad. Though you are right, at TDR you can simultaneously have the best (still thinking about the Peach Minnie Icecream and shell shaped wafer icecream thing I had in 2023) and the worst (that fucked up sundae I had at Liberty landing which consisted of salted ice cream, red beans, rice crispies, mandarin and a soy sauce flavoured churro-I seriously wanted to cry, vomit and laugh all at once not to mention wtf was the dirty dried prawn horror soup I got at Sakura). But honestly, taste is subjective and I guess I shall just have to visit and try that darn Curry to understand whose opinion aligns with my own. Great video, Love it. Stay excellent. PS also I am in Australia, where all the theme parks open at 10am and close at 5pm so 8:30-9:00pm sounds like heaven to me.

My biggest issue with TDL, at least when i went, is that the rides keep getting clogged up mid-ride! I took Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, Snow White and Pirates, and they all had a moment where they stopped for an annoyingly long amount of time because they sent out too many cars and a jam had formed
