I have to agree, the Void was way better than I was expecting

I LOVE The Void.
I tried getting my wife to watch it with me. She’s pretty hesitant with horror sometimes, and turned me down. Anyway, I was distracted in the first watch, so when it ended I just started it up again so appreciated it better.
My wife woke up, came out, asked what I was watching… I didn’t answer… and she watched the whole thing with me and loved it.

Dark Night of the Scarecrow scared the hell out of me as a kid. That silo scene stuck with me through all these years to the point where I thought I imagined it until I talked my husband into watching it again last year

Just want to compliment your channel. I’m 60, and I still find movies to add to my list. Your descriptions are awesome, no spoilers but plenty of clues to help me know if I’m going to like the film. Thanks for your hard work and enthusiasm! I think I’ll try No One Will Save You tonight.

The other main actress from Dream Demon was also in Witchboard. She plays the psychic.

I watched The Void based on your recommendation in a previous video. It's not often that a horror movie goes so far off the rails but in a completely controlled way. This movie is so good and I would have probably never seen it without your channel. Thank you Daniel!

Love your channel Daniel. Dark Night of the Scarecrow terrified me as a kid. I still re-watch it every year.

Daniel, your channel continues to be head-and-shoulders above the rest, and even this HUGE film nerd ALWAYS finds out about a new flick or is reminded of a beloved obscure one!

What Suitable Flesh does right is that the plot is always moving forward. It never lags and there's always new surprising things happening every few minutes. Most bad horror movies are too boring or to self-serious or just too depressing without any excitement. Suitable Flesh keeps it brisk and exciting. It's a good watch.

To be clear, Lisa and the Devil was produced by Alfredo Leone. When the original cut was not picked up by any distributors, Leone asked Bava to re-filmand re-cut it into an exorcism movie to capitalize on the popularity of The Exorcist at the time. Bava declined, but his son Lamberto (of Demons and Demons II fame) filmed Leone's requested scenes and edited the film accordingly. I cannot speak to the resulting film House of Exorcism as I have never been able to bring myself to watch it, but Lisa and the Devil is, in my opinion, the only version worth watching both as it is the intended cut and is very much a personal work of love for the great Mario Bava.

Love the Michelle Soavi praise.
Stage Fright is a blast and Dellamorte Dellamore is genuinely incredible.

If you hadn't pointed out the actress in Dream Demon was in Roadhouse it would have driven me mad trying to fathom out where I had seen her before 😊

I know Matt Smith was a lot of people's favorite actor to play Doctor Who, but since then, he really has elevated every movie and TV show he's been in. So I'll have to check him out in a slow burn folk horror!

The main woman in Dream Demon went on to play Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, head of UNIT in Doctor Who
