Watching this is like seeing your favorite ball player take the field one last time. He ain't in his prime no more, but everyone gives him a standing ovation for what he's done
Traditional. No flash. Reminds you how dangerous his style is when he does wreck. N he wrecks very hard. The antics n oddities n artistry with his raw traditional style are why he was and still my favorite skateboarder.
The contrast between Boulala and Dollin in this is so fascinating, it says so much with no words. Ali lost his best friend in a motorcycle accident while drunk, he went to jail and had to step away from skateboarding, after a deep depression he’s now sober. Dustin still drinks, and still skates, but he’s past his prime, a fact that is strengthened by the music choice.
One of my favorite parts of all time. Is it the gnarliest, best tricks? No, it’s a goodbye letter for one of the OGs. The lyrics are literally perfect.
