This Yomi short film tells the story of Alejandra and Don Vicente, an elderly chef with incredible talent who has spent years working behind the scenes in a restaurant kitchen. His dishes are admired by customers, but his boss, Paúl, believes his age does not fit the image he wants to present and decides to give someone else the credit for his work.
Everything changes when José Daniel, a businessman interested in buying the restaurant, tastes one of Don Vicente’s dishes and is deeply impressed. However, when he asks to meet the chef, Paúl introduces Estefanía as the person responsible for the food.
Alejandra witnesses the injustice and decides not to remain silent. Although she knows that standing up to her boss could put her job at risk, she defends Don Vicente and demands that the person truly responsible for the kitchen’s success receive the recognition he deserves.
Her decision has consequences. Alejandra loses her job, and Don Vicente decides to leave with her, proving that his dignity is worth more than staying in a place where his hard work is not recognized. From that moment on, they both have to start over and find a way to move forward.
But neither of them imagines that José Daniel begins to suspect that something is not right at the restaurant. When he tastes the food again and realizes that it no longer has the same flavor, he decides to investigate until he finds the people who can tell him the whole truth.
