In the early hours of the 23rd of March, nineteen eighty one, Mexican photographer Carlos Diaz travelled into the mountainous landscape of Ajusco National Forest, south of Mexico City. He had reportedly been commissioned to photograph the sunrise and selected a familiar location overlooking the volcanic terrain. Instead, that morning became the beginning of an extraordinary series of encounters with mysterious luminous craft that would continue for years.
